I like it because you can be more specific than the spray. Pack of artists brushes from the pound shop and you're laughing Of course it can take longer to do larger areas with a brush than a spray.

Just tested some flock and it's left a mark but no backing, just the same as vinyl. I find it depends on the the colour of the garment and the vinyl used if it leaves marks anyway.

yep i never wash a garment - as technically its not new then is it ! i spray inside if its something quite robust, i have not done much flock but i do a fair amount of puff style stuff. i dont use the aerosol anymore (have you read the label) and use the liquid spray or as others have said with a small brush if a problem area - then press and you are ready to go again
