Okay, even though it is close to the holiday season I really wantto maybe make one for me as almost a prototype or floor model to take pictures of to show people how it looks as a final product. Is this a bad idea?

IMHO i would remove the image from here, manufacturers from India and the Far East use this site - as they do with most sites picking up ideas, so the longer its shown the more likely you are to see it in your local walmart/store next year.

you could ask your local college design department if they could make you one, or order red & white hoodies and cut and resew - which is what i would do with an overlocker, then apply the vinyl for the belt

Don't talk to me about Xmas jumpers ...................... I remember as a kid (mentally scarred from the incident) my mother insisting I wear a 'Christmas' jumper for school that she had got from the market. It was a green thing with bright coloured christmas trees - but there was ................. well, there was something just quite not right about it!

Later in the morning people started to whisper and stare, then laugh and I found out just before home time that the christmas trees were in fact little girls all holding hands!

Bless her - my mother - she thought it was funny ..................... me, I haven't spoken to her since!

ha ha ha, oh adam i do feel sorry for you, when i was in my late teens early 20's a group of us used to meet in the pub on boxing day, and all had to wear whatever awful thing we had been bought, jumper, tie, socks and name and shame the relative, well, we are now between 45 and 65 and we still all meet up, and one of us wore the jumper he was in the first boxing day - kept it all these years (secretly we think he has been wearing it inbetween times) a beautiful montage of xmas scenes in an array of nylon wool knitted by his mum
