It is American and a bit dated most of mug press have a similar style and shape. I found it very interesting hop you do too. woopee the link works
Re: review on mug presses
Crazy prices on those mug presses, and they don't look too different to some of the ones we buy today for under £100. I guess the price must be in the heat blanket.
Someone should do a review of the low-end mug presses. If any supplier wants to send me any mugs presses for free that I can keep afterwards, I'll review it.

I thought the same, they are not so different, there is not to much to a mug press so the elements are the same, I found it usual reading, but did you also see that there is other things on that site that would link to somewhere else. In reality for a beginner it a good place to start to read and doesn't favour one suppler or anotherJSR;30651 wrote:Crazy prices on those mug presses, and they don't look too different to some of the ones we buy today for under £100. I used to frequent that website and forum in the days before we had a decent UK dye-sub forum here. They had a lot of interesting discussions about alternative printing, and good information when the last of the big Sawgrass vs Unlicensed Supplier battle was going on.

Re: review on mug presses
Thanks for sharing - I was expecting too much of my £120 press.lol. I've been trying to get closer to the handle and more even at the bottom printing. Now realise that I could have spent 1200 dollars and be in the same boat.jennywren;30606 wrote:www.dyesub.org/articles/mugreviewpart2.php I have never put in a link for a web site before ( will not like this one ) but is a good article on various mug press. Ouch! thought i'd try budget....then sent it back return post!! annoying sounds when time is up and temps dropped about 30 degs between mugs! burnt 5 mugs beyond belief. He'd sold about 30 of them but only 3 people had left feedback and they said 'all is well'....im not sure they bought the same press!....mind boggles
I messaged the guy and he pleaded with me not to leave negative feedback!!!!! says it all!

Re: review on mug presses
I think a lot of the money is obviously in the heat blanket, the skeleton of the mug presses are pretty much the same between suppliers its the results that differ ie the press chongsta (hi from down the road in pembs btw) has highlighted is exactly the same build as the presses that BMS sell as well as the same as what love cut sell admitadly in differnt colours , Now the bms press ive found to be a cracking little press especially for a beginner a great entry level press i use mine mainly for money boxes that dont require full coverage. I also have one from love cut apart from it being black it looks no differnt to the bms ones but what a pile of crap steer clear of these guys its been said many times on here cheap chinease seems to be their mantra. i also have a double head nova chrome press simailar to the one in the article but with 2 heads. it cost a bit more but you can see where the money went a great press which does rim to base prints with ease.
Re: review on mug presses
I have 1 like that and one attachment to my all in one. both have posh blanket fitted in. both drops temp a lot and both give excellent results. One of them got standard bip bip sound bot other one has in did crap bellchongsta;45888 wrote:here's a tip...dont buy this one!
