Re: Large Format Printer Advice
I wouldn't go near the SC-F500 personally.
We have an Epson F6300. The F6200 can still be found second hand, a decent one should be £1k-£1.5k and inks are £50 for 1000ml.
Is is something you will ned to print regularly? Do you have a press to go with it already?

I just bought an Omega 750 V2 and it should be with me in 2 weeks. We'll be printing regularly, hoping to be up and running within 2 months.
Those printers need to be converted?

No, the F6200 is specifically for sublimation. Good call on the Omega, we have a V1 for short run work.
Re: Large Format Printer Advice
I managed to get it second hand for £2600 only 2 years old, but need to drive 5 hours to pick it up haha.
Buying those printers second hand is safe? What are some things I should look out for, cheers for the help

Always worth a drive to get a good deal
As with anything you do take your chances buying second hand. Worth speaking to some of the suppliers to see if they know of anything available. We got this last printer from YPS who are excellent and often have used equipment available.

Re: Large Format Printer Advice
Do you use the genuine Epson ink, or some other kind with those?
The ink with the SC-F500 seems like daylight robbery

Re: Large Format Printer Advice
Ok last question for now, sorry I'm thinking of this just off the top of my head else I would have asked all at once.
How's the print quality in terms of sharpness, is it good for close range stuff like a mouse pad?
Thanks again, I really appreciate it

Re: Large Format Printer Advice
For a 4 colour printer we've always been surprised how good it is. We use primarily for textile work so sharpness isn't always necessary, we therefore run on a lower setting/pass number. I'm sure it would be fine enough, happy to run some prints off if you want to take a look.
