Just getting back into canvas printing. Previously we spray varnished which whilst works very well is a major faff if doing a small number infrequently.
Someone suggest I use a laminator, their examples were laminated and it clearly looked like a plastic coating...yuk! I have seen different laminates and assume a matt/satin would be better to stop reflection.
I have also seen special effects, linen and 'canvas' style laminate.
Not invested in the printer/laminator just yet, printer will be next few days all being well but wanted to ask opinions before splashing on a hot/cold laminator.
Anyone printing and laminating canvas prints?

I appreciate roller/brush would be less of a 'faff' but not sure on results. We will need a laminator anyway for other projects.

As an owner of a laminator I can't see this as being suitable for canvas prints. Even Matt or Satin will have that feel of a plastic covering. Extreme view would be its like a cheap placemat on a wall
I don't tend to laminate my canvas prints due to the fact that I use a Roland Versacam so cracking is not an issue with those inks. However if I had to I would probably use a spray as this will give the best and most even finish. I have used a roller for something else and while it was acceptable it is not the way I would do them if having regular sales.

USING: Whatever it takes to get the job done...

Yeah I always spray varnished before, never used a laminate but someone told me to have a go. I can't see it being as good tbh.
