Re: Help VW queue settings
My pc has started to fail so i have a new one on route but how do i export my VW queue settings?
I have my print queues setup: stickers, banners, Magnetics, static cling,
I can save the settings for each queue (printing settings file) but i cant find the location of said files to send to new pc.
Things i print a lot i have saved as a vw file with source but im stumped with queue settings
Or is there a way to backup versaworks and dump it onto my new machine?

I'm just trying to be helpful for the sake of it now without a proper understanding of the problem lol
Does this statement mean anything to you....
In RVW6 – there is a save as setting at the top of the queue window – save a basic setting and load and change on each succesive queue. Hidden advantage: If you ever need to initialize RVW – you caneasily reload these settings from file.

I have saved my settings for each queue but I can’t find where it’s been saved to.
there’s nothing under versaworks in program files or program files x86 (in any of the folders) in fact I have created a save file as “look for me” then done a deep system search all files and folders for the name and nothing.
I have just started to run the easeus software so fingers crossed.

Thinking outside the box... can you do a search but only search for files created with today's date?
I assume that is possible but not really got a clue

the easeus software is running and supposedly copying selected programs across I have selected Photoshop, AI, SCAL 5 pro, graphtec, CM4, Versaworks, and a few other bits I use daily it’s reporting 4 hours from pc to pc on the same network so just have to wait and see.
If it works I’ll be surprised but chances are it’s just copying the root directory of each software and none of the system files embedded within windows.

Re: Help VW queue settings
I realise you've probably done this by now and found that the transferred programs will not run on the new machine. It's most likely down to the Windows Registry settings which many programs set during installation from the original source and they often depend on the host machine's system architecture.Mrteajunkie;152665 wrote:Ill try that later.

I know it's a pain, but unless you have made a cloned copy of your existing system then you're better off installing everything from scratch again. :frown:

Re: Help VW queue settings
The only program I have an issue with is Vw giving missing several .dll files
everything else works except I needed to reactivate licenses.
I guess I’ll reinstall that and see
