Hi,
Recently replaced Yellow Sublisplash cartridge (In date and from Dye sub supplies) straightforward 1 out 1 in and continued printing. Later noticed colours not as good as before in the there seemed to be a 'Yellow' cast and whites not as well, 'white'.
I have raised the issue with supplier as the only thing that had changed was the ink cart, therefore must be a problem with the ink! While waiting for them to investigate the problem purchased a new Yellow Cart (different batch no.) and used the 'Head Flushing' a total of 3 times to to purge the old ink. Still the colours are not right. I noticed in another post that the ink lines are quite long, are 3 flushes enough to clear the old ink?
Welcome your thoughts
John

Why would white not be white? There's no white ink in these machines so anything pure white in your image should print as the colour of the substrate.
Re: Ricoh 3110 colour issue
The areas of the image that were seen on the monitor as 'White' and had been showing as white on the printed item previously now has this 'Yellow' tinge/cast to it. Investigating the image more closely there is a very small amount of yellow in the white areas of the image (so not pure white). The new yellow cartridge has a stronger yellow which has caused these 'white/slightly yellow areas' to show this small amount of yellow more prominently (and all other areas containing yellow). A comparison was made of the colours of 'Nozzle Check' pattern of the old cartridge with the new and showing a clear difference. The old one was a lighter yellow than the new.
