Xero with eBay, Etsy Paypal etc

Those who use Xero, is the integration with bank transactions, ebay, etsy etc good? Is it easy? Is it a bit bug laden?

I am looking at updating my accounts package from a 20 year old, free, computer package. All rather scary!

We moved onto Xero about two years after using an offline accounts package for a similar length of time as you and it was the best move we made. BUT get a book keeper who knows it inside and out to set it up and create some rules for you. It is so useful that it checks your bank feed every day to which you then just easily reconcile each entry but things can go wrong if you don't know exactly what you are doing in terms of Xero but also accountancy rules and regs. So I use it every day to do certain things but pay a book keeper to go in and reconcile certain entries. We do VAT submission through it and our accountant goes in every year to run reports. I believe it is now the biggest online accountancy package in the world so VERY well supported.

I'm in the same boat as you Janners and will soon be looking into grown up accounting software. Just scared that a book keeper will turn round and tell me that I''m not earning any money. Get a proper job lol.

Xero is excellent. Best thing is integration with receipt bank - just snap or email all your reciepts, and they are automatically entered = magic !

If you get your certified book keeper to set it up on their account, you will pay lower monthly fees, and get free extra features - like reciept bank ....
