Re: Mug press issue

Post by rafinos »

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my mug press. The heat platen has some crumples, and one of them makes me a problem. After pressing the mugs there is something like a blur, or this spot doesn't pressed so well. Is there a way to avoid these problems?

If your experiencing problems with the heat element, I personally would replace it. Not worth the time trying to fix it .

Thanks for your advice!

Can I buy any heat element with same connection like mine or I have to notice something else?

Yes you should be able to. If you know the make or model of your press you should be able to get a replacement.

if your BIZ is making and selling mugs, you should always have a spare element ... they can last 100 or 5000 mugs ... but they always fail .....
fail, without notice, so ... when you get a new element, get TWO !

Which mug press is it and what age? Most suppliers do warranty the elements but only for a very limited time. If your mug business can justify it get a good machine (assuming this isn't) and it will pay for itself in no time.
