If they're a paying supplier member then they have their own section to post messages/announcements etc.

Ah OK i see Justin, thought you meant all suppliers to keep everyone informed of the situation as it would help your members. Obviously as i'm not paying you anymore to advertise on here i wont post any updates regarding the current situation.
All the best to you all and more importantly stay safe.

Can they afford to yet? They weren't forced to close, so it is a fair assumption that there isn't a viable amount of business.

I really dont know. What I heard was that the government said that all non essential businesses with over 100 employees had to close.
Im hoping that they will reopen partially with just a fewer workers to keep supplying us. They also supply northern Europe and we are open so it will be in their interest to keep the supply going. Everybody in a big business has to wear a mask and keep at least 2mtrs away from fellow workers. That is what is happening here so why cant it work over there?
I think that finally the severity of this virus has sunk in and people are finally reacting.

Have Nissan, Mini, Toyota etc closed down? Ive not read anything about that.

Car factories closed over a week ago.
Last I heard was that businesses not 'facing' the customer could stay open, as long as the correct distancing measures were in place.
Amazon and nearly all non essential retailers are trading online still.

BTC are still open - they are owned by Falk and Ross in Germany. Are they still open?

To be honest I wish BTC and all the 'needy and greedy' small fry would just close. At least then we could all go home and not worry about losing trade to our competitors.

UK Printed Mugs;142572 wrote:Xpres staff only had 15mins notice before we all got the news apparently. Perhaps a decision earlier on in the week about closing Friday would help companies like us buy in bulk to keep us going longer. Sadly we rely on both customers and suppliers so we can hold on for the ride hoping we have enough of both in drips to keep company afloat. Good luck everyone. Last one turn the light off.
I had started buying 5013 mugs again and they were the best batch of mugs in years. I spoke to them on Friday asking if they plan to close and they assured me that they had measures in place to keep going. Orders would take a little while longer to process. Upper management eh?
