Hi all, new here, so this is my first post. I have a greetings card business with photographic cards supplying the trade. I am a wildlife photographer & I have decided to supply my images that are successful on cards and put them on mugs first, then coasters etc.
My question is, am I obliged to put any info on the base of the mug to conform to any legal requirements for the retailer to sell on. I will put barcodes on some depending on the retailer, but they will be just sticky labels. Thanks Mark
Mug Info for retailers
Re: Mug Info for retailers
Best bet is to go to a local store and see what they have printed onto their mugs - probably very little.
One thing you must do is to get some product liability insurance that covers you if a mug should break when full of hot liquid. The printing/cooling process can lead to very occasional problems, but you only need one...

It depends on your retailer. A big chain would probable want 'dishwasher safe' written underneath. Anybody else, I doubt that it would matter.

A big chain would want it filled with tea with knobs on, i've worked with them before, cheers.
