Epson WF2630 Initial Setup

Ok be gentle with me. This is my 1st foray into sublimation printing and have purchased some basics on a budget to dip my toe into mug printing. I purchased the above printer as I saw it mentioned elsewhere as suitable for sub printing, and now also have inks and paper. My question is with regards to setup of printer.
Do I use the Epson supplied inks solely to configure printer then switch to the sub cartridges, or do I load up from the off with the sub ink cartridges when doing 1st time setup??

you could try the dye sub first, however the printer may not recognise the cartridges as genuine.

if the printer will not configure with the dye sub ones you will need to use the set up cartridges and then swap over. But you will need to do a number of head cleans to clean out the regular ink and replace it with the sub ink.

I would suggest 2 full head cleans and then print out at least 10 full colour pages to ensure the dye sub ink is in the head. I'm not sure if your printer has photo black cartridge and a text black cartridge so you may need to account for that to ensure blacks are fully purged of normal ink.

Thanks Customprintwales. Am looking to set this up tonight prior to a few test prints. Got ink from carts from City Ink Express so hope they are OK.
