Hi!
I hope you guys can help me.
I have a Epson 1500W and the problems started yesterday. The yellow cartridge was empty so I refilled it (Brandless Chinese Ink) but the color was still missing on the nozzle check. Sometimes there was black instead of yellow. So I replaced all cartridge with the original Epson cartrigdes and the problem is the same. I've run the cleaning program multiple times, yesterday and this moring again. But still no yellow at all.
Any idea what the problem is and how I fix this?
Thank You,
Ilona

is this sub inks you talking about here ?
if so...."So I replaced all cartridge with the original Epson cartrigdes"
anyhoo..NEVER let ink carts run to complete empty, eps CISS...i have the same 1500w but use the CISS external refillable tanks...that way one can keep eye on ink levels and NEVER let em run down...ALL of my epson printers now have CISS external tanks fitted, and NONE go below 1/4 on any colour
try re-priming that cart and get the air out, as it has ran to empty, you would have been pulling though fresh air, instead of ink
BUT..if the answer is YES to the above about using sub inks, then using the original epson inks ....oh dear....complete flush out of the whole system will be needed with flush/cleaning fluid, then fresh sub inks reinstalled - and i can tell you, its a total PITA
Re: Epson 1500W problem - Yellow is missing from nozzle check
HI bigg...1500w doesn't have ink lines like bigger printers ....so it's easy to swap any type of ink carts or ciss...I do it some times to check my ciss as some times ciss can be buggy...This case better you check with another new set (working) ink carts to make sure problem is the print head ..if it's the head watch some youtube to clean the head .. (hope it's not unrecoverable )..
