Relatively New to the Dye Sub Arena

Still learning the ropes of the Dye Sub field. But have 2 Successful Ebay Stores Selling Mugs, Mouse Pads, Drink Coasters, Tshirts etc.
Really need some advice. I am looking for a Software program to upload images onto a mug and then saving the image for my Ebay Stores.

I have thousands of images to be done. Does anyone know of a Desktop Software that can superimpose images onto mugs.

I have been using the major mug printers (e.g. Zazzle) but they have now make it almost impossible to get the perfect image saved.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have Photoshop? Download a free .obj mug model and use the 3D capabilities of Photoshop to pose and texture the mug any way you want. Save .psd templates to make things easier, or record an Action and use a Photoshop Droplet.

Thanks. webtrekker, not sure of any of the procedures, I only have photoshop 6 a very old version. doesn't have any 3D Capabilities.

I'll second that. As far as online generators go, the Printful one is the best I've found (and I've tried a lot!).

It gives you a choice of 10oz and 15oz mugs to upload your design to, then allows you to save rendered versions of each in 4 different views as transparent .png files, complete with drop shadows, so that you can easily add your own backdrop if needed.

Saved images are 1000px x 1000px square at 72dpi.

Apart from doing actual product shots, a mug generator is also a quick and easy way of visualising new designs without actually printing any mugs.

All my mugs images were done using something similar.

I only found the printful thingy a short while ago, so am working on using it to do all my mugs, and as I also sell the 15oz it is going to be a boon!
