D88 CLEANING CARTRIDGE

Has anyone ever used a cleaning cartridge in a D88?

For days now I have been experiencing banding on my black print head.
I have been doing the print head clean and nozzle check etc with inconsistent results.
I have used cleaning cartridges on a wideformat Epson but not on the d88.

Or is there a way I can get to the heads to try and clean them?
