Glad you got it sorted but not sure the secrecy is of use to other members? Why can't you day who you've spoken to? Always good to have knowlagable members :-)

Might be that the inks aren't SubliJetR and announcing who the person is could give rise the Sawgrass IP police starting an investigation.

I know this is a touchy subject Martin but isn't the only patent Sawgrass could ever use in court was the 907 patent against suppliers and that expired? I was getting on so well with SG support the other day (emailing back and forth) until I mentioned about the price increase and the patent expiry and then support went off radar and never came back!

I've attempted to get confirmation of this but all attempts have been totally ignored by Sawgrass and suppliers.

We understand this is indeed the case but I await written confirmation.

IF their business is dependent on the strength of the '907 patent, and people's perception of whether it is valid and still in date, they are hardly going to go public and openly admit that either it isn't what they claimed it to be, or that it has expired, if they don't have to are they. They are going to want to sustain the status quo of people paying for their overpriced inks as long as possible, otherwise they have no business left really.

Given someone on here was talking only the other day about protecting his/her business by reporting non-sawgrass inks to a lady in the USA which then resulted in EBay sales being taken down then I would assume this is not as straight forward as one may believe.

When I spoke to Sawgrass last they are still enforcing patent infringements in the UK and further afield and that was from the Business Development manager in the States (who reports to the President I believe). If such products are promoted on a public forum such as this then I guess one of two things will happen - nothing or Justin will be having a conversation with Sawgrass.
