When we've printed these we cover the whole slate with the paper and use tape to hold the paper on by sticking it on the back of the slate to the paper.

Isopropyl alcohol takes the marks straight off whilst slate is still hot. Assuming you're taping to the back?

As said, use a full A4 sheet, centre image then you can wrap the paper around and tape on the back :)

Its the tape on the image. I put the paper with the image on the slate then put the tape on the image paper then pull it onto the back of the slate. The tape marks are coming onto the image itself.

No need to put the tape anywhere near the image:

Are you pre heating the slate before pressing? They hold moisture.... I use plain paper over the slate and drop the press Down to rest on it for about 45 seconds.... you will see the moisture on the paper when you lift it up...
