100% positive feedback on eBay until today when I got this twice from the same buyer, alas I could only chuckle.

"No wrapping, just tape which destroyed both boxes. Cant be sent as presents now."

It appears then that I should have protected the protective boxes from the tape (yes you read that correctly) that destroyed the boxes that protected the mugs, and yes the mugs are fine.
I knew the barmy eBay feedback was due at some point, but would never have guessed at that one!

He has assumed that the postal mug box was part of the product which is probably a fair comment. Did we have this discussion before? I put the mug box into a 10x14inch mailer. 5p each.

Hmmmm I learnt a valuable lesson in my early days of selling on Ebay, I sold a valuable Pre War FA Cup final program, stuck in a hardback photo envelope and posted it to the guy, unfortunately it arrived with him absolutely soaked due to the British weather, luckily he was very understanding and suggested future products be covered in polythene.

I now send everything out wrapped in polythene as it does tend to rain a bit in some parts of the country..... for boxes I simply cut up a black bin bag, cover and tape then stick on the postage label, never had a problem since that day. On a final note bear in mind that if you print postage labels with a standard inkjet printer the ink can bleed when wet which could make the label unreadable, I used to cover the whole label with clear tape to waterproof it however I now use a thermal printer for address labels which is permanent.

We use silver polythene mailing bags, nice and quick, and easy - and look quite nice too. For bigger things, we use pallet wrap - which you may find easier/quicker than having to cut up bin bags.

I got a 2* on amazon because "Item,should have been wrapped in a plastic bag just arrived in the wrapping bag no protection" because despite not having a bag rip or leak in 4 years and tens of thousands of shirts sent we should double bag just in case.

I bet the person is also someone who thinks postage and packing shouldn't be a penny more than the stamp price.
