Re: lines on images

Post by Quinsfan »

Hi guys
I have just gone to use the printer since bringing it back from the summer fair. Bugger I now have lines on the prints. Same place every time. Sometimes the length of the whole print sometimes just dashes. If I move image no lines. This image shows the 2 different positions i have printed. The image in the middle of the paper has no lines has no lines

I have done nozzle checks, all ok, have done 3 head cleans, not done individual cleans yet. I have printed about 6 sheets to date and the line is not going.
I know they are not the greatest photos. I have been printing these onto normal paper as I don't want to waste sub paper trying to sort it out.
All printed on Ricoh A4 3110.
These images are for personal use, well not for me:redface:, my wife has a David Gandy crush.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? Any body able to help me please? I have since printed 20 sheets of normal paper, 3 more head cleans and still a line in the same place.
Many thanks

I've seen lines before, but usually caused by blocked nozzles, which doesn't seem to be your problem. The 20 sheets of normal paper - are they all with this same image? Might seem stupid, but I've on occasion come across problematic images that print weird, even when they look ok on screen. Trying another one can't do any harm.

Oh, and if you print a blank page, do you still get the line? If so, might be ink on the roller?

Thanks for that will try the blank print. How would I clean ink off of the roller if I need to?
Many thanks

I don't know to be honest, as it's not something I've ever had to do myself, but I seem to remember there being threads on here before about it, so might be worth a search to see.

Just printed a report sheet, not a mark, printed another nozzle check no marks and finally printed another image whole A4 page a nothing. So maybe it was just the original image. Thanks for your advice spongerobinson.
Many thanks
