Re: Are there any direct to mug print options?
<t>Would it be better to save the money from buying 4 decent mug presses, and put it towards something else though? Trawling through online hasn’t shown anything regarding direct to mug printing apart from video links, with no links to products. <br/>

<r><QUOTE author="Mikejohno1;128409"><s>[QUOTE=Mikejohno1;128409]</s>David, I'm using the same setup as you, a galaxy mug press pro, sublisplash inks and I'm using Xpres 5013 mugs. Re: At witts end.
<r>I just tried another test with the same image. <br/>
I put the paper on the mug and put it in the press at 110c for 120 seconds. Immediately I changed the settings to 165c for 120 seconds and the blacks are far better, still browning a little and the bottom is fading. <br/>

Re: At witts end.
<r>Think I might have to get an oven. My results are still poor. <br/>
As recommended I’ve tried 180c for 180 seconds and the top and bottom look good but in the middle the blacks come out brown. <IMG src="https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171206/9846c97d91ad79d93ffb5a220ba62084.jpg"><s>[img]</s ...

Re: At witts end.
<t>I’d also hoped that I would of been able to print nearer the handle, even though the element reaches near the handle the heat transfer is poor and prints are appear faded near the handle and base. I think my understanding of what I could achieve is different to reality. Can the silicone wraps be ...

Re: At witts end.
I had tried preheating previously and this hadn’t appeared to work, but this was when I was using the faulty element. I have to remember everything I thought I’d learnt previously whilst using that element is necessarily correct.
