Re: Epson 7890
Hi all,
Has anyone ever flushed subli inks out of an Epson 7890? I know that a replacement head can be a tad expensive but how easy is it to flush the inks out.
Cheers
Brian

Re: Opinions Epson 7890 v VJ628
<t>Well later than intended, but following my visit to the Photography Show we made a decision. The Value Jet is not going to happen.... the printer allegedly has a new print head but I doubt it, it runs slower than the Epson (half the speed) and it's not Mac compatible.....apparently its Apple's ...

Re: Opinions Epson 7890 v VJ628
<t>So if I'm reading this correctly the 'new' Sawgrass VJ628 is just the Mutoh with a fresh badge on it. That said it would also appear that the Epson is fine if it is kept in ideal conditions rather than a fluctuating temperature/humidity environment. Looking at the specs the VJ628 appears to be a ...

Re: Please recommend an A3 printer for sublimation
I don't use my 1500w for sublimation but i do use to for photo prints and the reality is that it is a first class printer. I guess that the ink options are tank based as that would be only concern for heavy usage as the carts are quite small.

Re: Opinions Epson 7890 v VJ628
<t>Reading between the lines the question I have to ask - is it the ink viscosity/make up that kills the print heads? So as a regular photo/media printer is the Epson 7890 more reliable?<br/>

Re: Hello from Hereford
Hello Justin,
We use an Epson 7890 although this appears to be a risky printer. I am also a photographer so always aware of the copyright question, I have a photograph that keeps appearing in books.
Off to read about my question on printers..

Re: Opinions Epson 7890 v VJ628
<t>I am after an opinion of the benefits of switching over to a VJ628. We purchased an Epson 7890 for sublimation printing it is fine I am happy with the print quality etc. We have been contacted bi the supplier with what appears to be a very good offer. We can purchase a VJ628 for a lot less than ...

I am Brian and alongside my proper day job we have recently started out our DyeSub business. We have jumped in on a wide format printer, A2 press and a mug press. We have been surprised as our 'best seller' have been cushions and of course mugs. <br/>
