Re: Cost to produce and post a printed mug
<t>I would not bother trying to sell mugs on ebay, as others have mentioned the competition is too high and the profit is too low, you can post using royal mail (online postage £2.80) but I recently discovered that you can post upto 4 mugs in smash proof boxes for £2.80, to the same address. I sell ...

Re: Tax question.
<t>I have been self employed since forever, and I used an accountant or many years, until I discovered that the guys from the tax helpline are simply brilliant and really know their stuff, so for the last few years I do my tax returns online and get a much better deal than I ever got using an ...

Re: which ink?

Re: Best mug press for starting...
<t>I use the xpress studio mug press, I don't do many mugs yet as have only recently started myself, but so far every mug has come out perfectly, they are not the cheapest press on the market, but I wanted good quality and reliability, I picked mine up second hand on eBay for £170. <br/>

Re: Logo and branding
<t>It's tidy, it has impact, it has a modern feel, and I see nothing wrong with it, you can easily spend too much of your valuable time on a good logo, and like others have said you can always incorporate different divisions of your business as you add different products to your range, overall I ...

Re: Dunking Mugs - It works!!
I take straight from the press with paper still intact and run the hot water first into the mug then with cold water a little slower to avoid a drastic change in temperature , I don't do many mugs but so far not had any problems .

Re: Logo and branding
Not wishing to be disrespectful but if you are getting into the mug design business it might be worth using sites like Pinterest Instagram deviant art etc for inspiration , or sites like fivrr who will design a logo for you.

Re: Please help. I’m about to throw my Freesub pneumatic mug press out the window!
<t>Please correct me if I am wrong as I don't have a lot of experience in these matters, but I had the impression that most papers will produce satisfactory results if you have all your setting correct, meaning icc profile specifically for that paper and ink, quality mug coating, correct time, heat ...

Do you warm your mugs before printing and do you tape your images to your mugs , but my first thought would be mug coating too

Re: Newbie here. With questions on getting started
<t>Using tried and tested methods would give you a faster return for your investment, the route I have taken I have to factor in the time and money spent testing and how long my ink will last by comparison etc, i am hoping to be in this for the long game as I enjoy this industry so that also has to ...
