Re: Trying to find a solution for iphone blanks corners... We can do it! :-)

I see, thanks. I am really not sure that it is possible to preheat film. Will try though.

<r><QUOTE author="g1njeremy;91522"><s>[QUOTE=g1njeremy;91522]</s>With film you should have it preheated for about 20 seconds inside the press BEFORE you turn on the vacuum. And for film, the pressing temperature should be significantly lower than paper or otherwise the film will stretch more. Hope ...

Re: Trying to find a solution for iphone blanks corners... We can do it! :-)

And I now have a new issue with this. I use film instead of paper and now for some reason I got air bubbles between film and case or between film and silicone membrane. Vacuum is okay. Does anybody have any ideas why this happens?

Re: Trying to find a solution for iphone blanks corners... We can do it! :-)

Well, I do not have any stretching/warping problems with film when I use it in a membrane press like this. I have them when I use it in a film only machine though. May I ask you what machine do you use with film?

What problems do you experience with the film? I tried it without any frames and it was pretty ok. The only problem was the front edges but I had the same ...

But how can you get more pressure? Mine shows 0.08. What about yours, guys?

Re: Trying to find a solution for iphone blanks corners... We can do it! :-)

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate this. As for the front edges I actually tried to print a huge image that is waaay bigger than a case. The result was the same. Perhaps I should look into vacuum strength and/or mold shape.

Re: Trying to find a solution for iphone blanks corners... We can do it! :-)

<t>I've got the same issue with the corners. But I believe the reason for this might be a different paper or different vacuum pressure. I fixed the issue with the corners by using film instead of paper. But I really cannot understand how you all manage to print on the front edges of the case. Please ...

Re: Trying to find a solution for iphone blanks corners... We can do it! :-)

Tried to make some iPhone cases according to the manual by ArtyGamer but did not manage to get the corners that good. Corners are pretty ok when I use film though. But there is also a problem with the front edges, please check the image.
