Most of the night lights printed in colour are done with UV Printing where a layer of white in layed down first. You wont get very good results with Dye Sub on clear without a white layer.

We use a polyester fabric (Endura) over the top, I think Xpres sell it. It helps to absorb moisture to prevent mottling but also fills in any dips or edge defects in the metal to give an even print.

Just noticed the Sole Juice website is no longer selling blanks and their new site Sublimation Warehouse isn't live yet.

We converted an Epson Surecolor T3200 and a T5200 for use with sublimation. They are our daily workhorses. I think both models have been superseded by the T3/5400 now.

That's a moisture issue. Make sure the print has fully dried and the metal is at room temperature before pressing. As stated above, place a sheet of paper or polyester on top of the sub-paper when pressing to absorb any remaining moisture.
